Let's face it. Some people, some places are not ready for you. AND THAT'S OKAY. When you hone your craft, invest in yourself, you are confident in who you are and what you have to offer. You know what you are worth. Consequently, there will be people (and places) who will not be ready for you. They are stuck where they are or have not caught the revelation that they need to elevate themselves to where they are ready for you. What you have to offer is outside of their capacity This is a good "problem" to have, because it means you are ready for a bigger, better playing field. You can confidently say, "Thank you but no thank you" to anyone (or place) that wants you to devalue you, your services, and/or your products. This happened to me recently.
I was asked to send a quote for onsite training services. The immediate reply was resounding, not to mention the tone in which the message was sent. I did not reply in the same manner. Rather, I simply said, "OK, no problem." When asked to come up with a quote that would fit their budget, I kindly replied with my credentials and how it was not appropriate for me to devalue my services in such a manner. I knew what I was worth! The "budget" they had was unreasonable for anyone. In truth, you can't even get catered lunch for that price. I was prepared to walk away if they couldn't come to my minimum. I had perfect peace about it too. When you start devaluing yourself and your services, you start attracting that kind of clientele. It's okay to say "no." #LoveandLight
